The thought that his father might find out he had lost more money gambling made his legs feel weak. He would do anything to avoid that. Fisher leaned forward to get a closer look, and the head opened its eyes and smiled at her. Neither of them felt entirely safe in turning their backs on the succubus.
The succubus blew him a kiss, and chuckled richly. Gaunt slammed the door shut on her, and locked it. When I explained that Ghost was, among other things, a bomb sniffer, that amped up my usefulness. My name was not mentioned, and yet the constables I worked with treated me with distance and caution.
Jerry Spencer was already there when Ghost and I arrived. Jerry was in his fifties, with iron gray hair, an unsmiling face, and intensely dark eyes. In fact, your favorite person just left. Toys was a slim and elegant young man, naturally fastidious, and, as far as Gault could tell, absolutely unburdened by any weight of morality.
His hard, handsome little body inspired her to creative achievement as a fine musical instrument might inspire a composer. He received a great deal of their attention. As John Dee, in robes of white and gold, joined them, the ladies fell back into an ante-chamber. I have obeyed my Lord Montfallcon, as you desired me to do. And there were physicians attending, also, for he is, as you know, suspicious of me.
I remember I stumbled across an opening into a large cave near there when I was a boy looking for arrowheads. Only thing was, it was a dead end, only the one cavern. I bought it for her for Christmas three years back. She liked this soft black leather, said she loved to get it up to ninety just to watch your face go red, Dix, and your fingers turn white clutching the chicken stick.
At least it was better than the blank despair Dix had shown that first year. They both looked out at the road in silence, and Ruth was left to wonder where Christie was. I can still see the look on her face when I stabbed her the first time. Okay, let me get back on track here. Frank told him he was welcome to stay as long as he liked. He had a heavy growth of whiskers and his hair was all wild tangles and his eyes were bloodshot with pain and exhaustion. Yet the crash of the rifle continued to fill the park, though he had now nothing but hope to guide the bullets.
When we settle his hash, I want it to be a sure thing. No finger of the law pointing at us. If we go raring over there hell-for-leather, some of us are liable to be shot. Besides, she had good lighting men. He was a production assistant with the studio, and had worked with Dayle on her last picture. That was why Dennis had come to her studio trailer now. Along with the s gown, she also wore a long blond wig.
And the things he does are more radical and dangerous until the world is on the brink of nuclear war. I recommend that surveillance be continued. The evidence against her is strong but circumstantial. From what I know of Dickstein, I doubt very much that he has given her any information, even if he is romantically involved.
If we eliminate her the other side wM begin looking for another way to get at Dickstein. His tongue wriggled over his teeth and lips. His mouth worked to speak, but there was no sound. He looked shocked and suddenly stared at Rudy with a deep and terrible desperation. As they gathered speed they formed into a single line.
Pitt pressed himself back into his hiding place as the lights of the leading car swept across the front of him. It hesitated momentarily before turning out into the street, giving Pitt a fleeting look at the smiling faces of infected occupants. As the last car hesitated, Pitt caught his breath. He grinned up at me like the devil himself and stroked me gently with that iron thing till my legs got all trembly and I was breathing through my mouth and cussing him low.
He kept at it till I thought I was going to faint from the pure pleasure of it. She played me like a finely tuned instrument. He was even more adamantly against the project than I was. But let me remind you that there is no real evidence to implicate anyone. And as a precautionary measure, Heberling has cleaned out his whole lab except for his bacterial studies.
From that distance it was beautiful. But it soon dropped behind, then out of sight altogether as the car descended into the sunken portion of the Long Island Expressway. David was pleased at the clarity of that inner voice. Pleased, too, at how much he was in control of the situation, everything sharp and beautiful in its clarity. Spike pressed a button and there was a flash. Steve noticed that Spike, though a small man, had big hands with prominent veins.
It was partly the grim surroundings, but mainly the feeling of powerlessness. On the side that gave on to the corridor there was no wall, just bars, so that every square inch of the cell was clearly visible from outside. Through the bars Steve could see that each cell had a metal bunk fixed to the wall and a stainless-steel toilet and washbasin.
Only the two of us together can make it work. Maybe we can turn this whole thing around. I think I can handle a few interviews. He listened to her and Steve hatch a media strategy. But all the while, he kept looking across the kitchen-at a faint wine stain on the wall. He was brilliant, I recognized that even as a self-absorbed teenager.
I told him once when he demolished me in an argument that he could probably convince a fencepost to tango. Or had it indeed been the last demand. It hit him between the eyes-of course, it sounded like Julia Ransom had written them. Pallack had hired Makepeace to kill Julia because he believed she was the blackmailer. Until we hear that the retreat is a rout, I must - regretfully, of course - decline to join the rabble on the road to Antwerp.
We certainly shall not talk of flight yet awhile. He left the room, and went downstairs to the hall. At the same moment, the ladies heard a knock on the street door, followed an instant later by the confused murmur of voices in the hall. Worth called up to her: "It is Charles, Judith. You must change your clothes immediately or Heaven knows what will become of you.
They went down in a churning heap. They were good-looking kids with luminous green eyes and angelic faces, and LaMastra could not make himself accept that these lovely kids were monsters. Then they snarled at him, showing their fangs and their flickering tongues, and as they did this their eyes flared from green to an unholy red. They were incredibly fast, but then LaMastra faked toward one of them and pivoted to fire point-blank at the other.
The vampire twisted out of the way so that only a third of the pellets tore through his hip and upper thigh, but it was enough to make the boy pirouette like a dancer in some macabre ballet. Turning round, Ray felt a sudden burning sensation in his neck. Startled, he grabbed at his throat. Blood gushed between his fingers and for perhaps a second he simply stared at the red liquid. Suicide bombers walked into theaters and train stations.
Kings and presidents were caught in indiscretions. Princesses were killed in car wrecks. Drug companies released medications that proved to be more dangerous than the diseases they were designed to combat. Flu epidemics sprang out of nowhere. A symphony of destruction that was at once shocking in its scope and elegant in its subtlety. Rogers need bear in mind only two things.
The hill men stood close to the building by the door when Rogers called to the jailer. After the third call, Webster came to a window and asked who wanted him. Rogers told who he was and why he had come. He gave me twenty-five bucks for returning it. It did not occur to him to doubt the story. All the while, Moira clung to her, and Susan clung to the ax.
There was nothing wedged beneath any of them to give her a flat. The back tires looked a bit low, but seemed okay. As she climbed behind the wheel, she saw blood on the dashboard. Giving it a turn, she prayed the car would start. He easily entered the nursing homes as just another old person in need of round-the-clock attention.
Sometimes he passed himself off as an old woman, other times, an old man. Because he was in basic good health, no nurse ever saw him without his clothes on, important since he could have been playacting an old woman. When my mother died, my aunt and uncle took me to live with them on their ranch in West Texas. We learned to ride about as soon as we could walk and we worked as hands on the YB Ranch from the time we were boys. Did the other children, the American children-the Anglos, I mean-did they…make funny of you.
And around there the Anglos and Mexicans were pretty used to each other anyway. They pretty much got along okay. With her power, she could destroy all Haven in a single night. And what do you think happens if you go to the police. Same thing that happened when I reported it to Ms. I teach the history of psychiatry at Gotham College. Sometimes it was a term of endearment.
He knew Wayne Lillis and knew the marina where he lived in a piling house and docked his charter boat. The house and boat were both at the far end of the marina and anybody approaching along the piers would be spotted in plenty of time to allow for a getaway.
With his finger on the map he showed Padgett and Stubbs how the bandits could flee downriver to the Fort Pierce Inlet or upriver into the serpentine channels of the mangrove narrows-or go straight across to the barrier island and run north or south under cover of the high brush and then cross back to the mainland at some safer point.
Maybe we can use the same thing to squeeze the truth out of her. In only two days, Sean had become her confidant. Concerning this conspiracy, no one else took her seriously except Sean. Dennis helped her out of the mock sports car.
A tall, stunning redhead stood behind him. Morgie and Benny had a good-size set. The figures were tiny on the card, but the action was explosive, and Morgie was totally absorbed by it. Morgie could be as dense as a mud wall sometimes. Benny smiled and joked and chatted with the others, but as he sorted through the cards, he could feel how false and fragile his smile was. He wanted to feel the way he used to feel, and hated that he had to fake it.
So, if you want to make your move, now would be a pretty good time. And ends up making payments on a sofa or a girl. Love and hate tattooed across the knuckles of his hands. Melissa crashed down on all fours, tried to scrabble away, fighting for oxygen. Baxter went off balance and caught the counter to stay upright. He jerked his leg to free it, but she hung on tight. She was this young woman Wallace was seeing at the time. Or you can say that when John Jr. The search is interrupted when Savich takes a fateful call on his cell.
The mysterious caller taunts Savich with other threats-against him, and against his wife, fellow agent Lacey Sherlock. Up against an untraceable foe-not even MAX can locate him-Savich and Sherlock find themselves fighting an unstable villain with a very long memory. She asked him what happened to his portable radio, or were police not bothering with portable radios anymore.
Marino told her to request an ambulance, just in case Eva Peebles needed one. The window that her computer was in front of was dark. Nobody needed to teach Lucy a damn thing about being a cop, and as he watched her duck inside his car, he felt a tug from the past. He missed the old days when the two of them rode motorcycles together, went shooting, worked investigations, or chilled out with a six-pack, and he wondered what she was carrying.
Suppose we let the women go first, and order them to return to their homes. Then, when the men are released they will all want to check on their wives. To that end he suggested to Flash that it might be best for him to wait outside.
With a nod from the director, the two funeral home heavies quickly followed. Davydov is planning on an open casket or not. He motioned for Warren to come closer and handed him several sample bottles. Jack wanted him there because Jack was planning on doing what Gordon had just warned him not to do, namely taking a sample of the bruised facial skin. Her sudden movement made the boat rock. Susan could barely keep her balance as the boat teetered from side to side.
Bracing herself, she grabbed on to the edge of the boat with one hand and held on to Mattie with the other. He reached over and punched two buttons. Papa, you got Zhor to run right into the magic prison in the Forest of No Escape. I sometimes help my little girl, too. MacLean back to his room and make sure he stays there. She knew it was cutting deep into his neck.
He had her hair wrapped around his left hand. His right hand held a twelve-inch hunting knife to her throat. A drop of blood welled up and trickled down to disappear into her running top. He put the phone in the crook of his neck so he could get a glass. Stapleton refer to him by the sobriquet Flash. He grabbed one of the kitchen chairs and pulled it over to the phone so he could sit down.
His legs had suddenly turned to rubber. One of the things we programmed it to find were cases of attacks involving biting. This role is by no means a uniform one. The egg was fried hard and there was a suspicious green patch on the bacon. He sat down and ordered rolls and coffee. That bought us all the slack we needed. All of the celebrities and the children of the power players were off-loaded to the Navy ships.
DeeDee was aboard, too, with Khalid watching over her. She would keep the eye, but it was damaged and so was her face. They were fools to talk of their rights. The smart people ignored right and wrong and took care of themselves, like Cora and Peg and Buck Delaney. Caspar Gordonson lived in London, of course. He could let him know what legal rights were worth-but perhaps he could do better than that. He was a lawyer, and he wrote constantly about English liberty: he ought to help.
She led Katherine away from the body and made her sit down on the bed. Tears rolled down her face, but she made no attempt to wipe them away. He looked at Gaunt, standing beside him in the doorway. Clutching together the front of her cardigan, she crept to the edge of the wooded area lining the driveway. She studied the quaint, two-story brown-shingle cabin. A light shone in the second floor window-and it looked like some outside lights were on in the backyard, too.
One side of the house stood in the shadow of a towering elm tree. Some tall, wild bushes nestled against the other side. Their branches swayed in the breeze. His lordship called triumphantly to him from a distance: "Well.
You see Macdonnell has held Hougoumont. The band struck up God Save the King, and as the Prussians marched past they saluted. He stirred a little in his sleep. Can he still reach you at the Sleepy Bear Motel in Tacoma at She prayed he was all right, but Hannah had a horrible feeling her prayers were too late.
She could see her reflection in the darkened glass. He was still out there in the parking lot. He handed two stackable buckets to her, then moved on to flashlights and batteries. He selected two large torches with several sets of replacement batteries for each.
Sana nodded, and both of them left them on as they moved on to the tool section. There Shawn got a masonry hammer and several masonry chisels. With that, they paid for their selections and headed back to the hotel, where they stashed them. Shawn also plugged in the battery pack to charge. Oct 13, Aug 21, fat rams pumpkin tattoo He really liked the freckles on her nose.
Her mouth started watering even before her brain fully registered food. She felt just fine, no more nausea. She closed her eyes as she slowly, very slowly, chewed, and chewed some more until there was nothing left in her mouth but the lingering burst of pesto and garlic. She taught me how to make the pasta when I was eighteen and headed off to MIT. But when they reached the crossroad at Molasses Junction they turned the car north for Jacksonville. John Ashley asked about Kid Lowe and they told him the Kid had flat vanished and nobody had heard a word about where he might be.
They talked then about their brother Bob and told Tom Maddox about some of the funny things Bob had done when they were boys and when they ran out of stories about him they fell silent for a time. Then Ed asked what it had been like in there.
He was Todd Winters-average Joe Citizen-and mad as the devil over losing his luggage. The average businessman would raise Cain over losing them, and so that was the part he had been assigned to play. Instead, however, Andy Schaap followed protocol-took out his cred case and headed up onto the front porch. The sound that came from inside was loud-like a buzzer on a game show, he thought-but afterwards there was only silence, no sign of life within.
The toddler was staggering along out in front by about ten feet. Intuitively, she knew she should not have answered the stranger, especially when the badge disappeared and a gun came out in its place. Did you find anything like that, even a piece. My guess is that the pellet could have been somehow digestible, such that once it was exposed to interstitial fluid, it slowly was digested.
I have to give the perpetrators some credit. Unless the entrance wound is noticed, it will seem like a natural death. But she steeled herself and quickened her pace, as if the mere act of aggressively walking would change her resolve when she faced Gary.
He would try to deny it, of course, but enough of her friends saw him with that tramp. She had to confront him or she could never look herself in the mirror again. She was disgusted over how they used the peaceful followers of the religion of Islam and activist Muslims as scapegoats, all the while denying them fundamental freedoms such as Habeas Corpus. The highlights are definitely the pre chorus and the vocal arrangements for the chorus. The Book of Souls is the sixteenth studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on 4 September is the bands first studio double album, and also their longest to date, with a total length of 92 minutes and 11 launch and supporting tour were delayed to allow vocalist Bruce Dickinson time to recover from the removal of a cancerous tumour in early His face fixed on me for a moment, then he walked off down the street as casually as a businessman going back to the office.
Russell put his little fingers in his ears and screwed up his mouth to get a laugh from a couple of kids who had their ears covered against the screeching sirens. He smiled at them and tipped his hat to their mother and strolled off after Buck. Meanwhile, start setting up a quarantine for contacts, and try to get in touch with the people who sponsored that eye meeting in Africa and see if any of the other doctors who went are di. He told him in low voice that he was going to kill Bob Baker and he wanted some backup in case there was need of it. If Ray threw in he could forget about turning over the money from the moonshine sale to the Indians. Ben spent some of it too, you know.
He said if Ray wanted to come to Galveston and be business partners with him and Laura after the job here was done, he was welcome. Not the riddles, but the necessity for him to talk in riddles. She sometimes got on his nerves, but most of the time she was just fine. Then they would come for him, even here. Nor were the odds bad, for three people out of a whole solar system knew where he was. And those three were loyal fools. The hatch swung open and he stepped out and walked a few paces up the beach.
There were three sweatboxes and a whipping log. It was surrounded by a chain-link fence twelve feet high with rolls of barbed wire along the top. A guard tower stood at each corner, and the tower bulls had high-powered rifles. They had told me the hacks opened every bit of convict mail, going out and coming in, no matter how much they might deny doing it.
So never write to anybody you did business with on the outside, and never expect to hear from any of them. That was one of the rules they taught me in case I ever took a fall. His eyes were dead and glittered. Have you killed any more women since you escaped from that madhouse in Boston.
I was just visiting for a little while. What the devil was he doing in the house. He went into the drawing room and found her there. I absolutely refuse, do you understand. He was not going to fight a war over one damned convict. It was only a little after five P. What he needed was a shot of vodka and, unfortunately, his flask was dry.
Yuri had no idea what had become of it. His original assumption was that the letter would be thrown away like all junk mail. Later, on Ocean Parkway, with the pint hidden in a brown paper bag, he took a couple of slugs when he was stopped for lights. The familiar letters provided a sense of nostalgia. She refused to think about how she would explain its disappearance to her mother. He hesitated, then drew it around him gratefully.
It was big enough to cover him completely. Her conscience had been awakened by him, but not her spirit. She had seen the sense of his insistence, but nonetheless resented it. She had always, in the past twelve years, enjoyed her Accession Day ceremonies, culminating in the Masque in which she played the central role, but with Una gone, with Mary gone, with kind, silly Sir Tancred gone, she could only feel their absence more poignantly, and she mourned for them while she smiled and chatted and from time to time lifted a gay hand to the window.
Such feelings drove her to great displays of wit. She was like a splendid flagship, all sails unfurled to catch the wind, all colours flying, brass and woodwork, gilding and paint flashing in the sunlight, cheered on by everyone who watched her glide across the water, and none to know that, below the waterline, she had no rudder and no anchor.
In their heavy, fanciful tilting armour, in closed helms and full plate, the knights moved slowly and deliberately about the field, and, like dancers in an ancient mime, struck at one another with stylised gracefulness. I think-I think we only get to look at the back of the tapestry most of the time.
They live in Concord and we live just north of Manchester. We exchanged numbers and have since become good friends and travel buddies. Death or glory, a one way train. Turn like the devil, shoot straight from the sun. Climb like a monkey out of hell where I belong.
Death or glory, its all the same. Death or glory, the price of fame. Death or glory, Im in the game of. Their partnership, Montfallcon realised, had depended upon that understanding. Tomb was a friendly enough sort, but he had no interest in anything save his magics and his books, and he was too sober by far.
The sorcerer meant well, but the God Squad was his life, and nothing else really mattered to him. And Rowan was a pain in the posterior. Spent all her time poring over ancient books and papers, and filling the house with chemical stinks.
He slipped his briefcase out from under his arm and held it as if he might be tempted to use it defensively. He then let them go so that they wafted in short, intersecting arcs toward the pavement. He stood on the edge of the hospital roof, toes jutting out over the gutter, his pant legs fluttering against the stick slimness of his legs. His coat flaps snapped vigorously but silently around his emaciated hips. The only sound the wind made as it whipped by him and through him was a faint plaintive whine as it caressed the silvery strings of the guitar slung behind his back.
Even this late there were dozens of cars down there, dusted with moonlight but asleep. All around the town there was a ring of black clouds that were invisible against the night, but above the Bone Man the stars flickered and glimmered by the thousand. After all of this, Ruger was actually, finally gone. The invincible, unbeatable Karl Ruger was gone. Really gone this time, but would anyone ever really know. Her face was gashed and bleeding badly and blood dripped onto the mud at her knees.
The werewolf began crawling slowly toward her, making low plaintive sounds in its throat. Oh, Harriet, Harriet, what a piece of work you have made of it. It was some time before she was able to regain any degree of calm, and even when her tears were dried Judith saw that no advice would be attended to until she had had time to recover from the ill-effects of her first quarrel with Peregrine.
She persuaded her to take the air in an open carriage, and sat beside her during the drive, endeavouring to engage her interest in everyday topics. Judith was out of all patience long before the drive came to an end, and when she at last set Harriet down at the door of her lodging her sympathies lay so much with Peregrine that she was able to wave to him, when she caught sight of him presently, with a perfectly good will.
A second note from Harriet, received during the evening, informed her that Peregrine had returned home only to change his dress, and had gone out again without having made the least attempt to see his wife. Harriet declared herself to be in no doubt of his destination, and ended an incoherent and blistered letter by the expression of a strong wish to go home to her mama. He had a red sullen face and a frosty silence. Would you like an officer to respond to your residence.
I took a picture of him and the freezer with my cell phone. Cartwright was presently assigned to the intensive care unit, while Reid was on Beard 5. Bellows decided he would also use them for the medical students. Cartwright was a bit more outgoing and would probably be more helpful. Reid was black and had recently begun to attribute being called and harassed so much to his color and not his role as an intern.
I will not demean you by binding your hands, but I must assure you that if you stray from the line of march, you will be shot out of hand. It was a British-made Parker-Hale M sniper rifle. He hurried over to it before either man could stop him. Isfahani acknowledged his words with a nod, looking northward from the portico as though fancying he could see the approaching helicopter. So much had changed in the last few years.
And the world had barely noticed. He was holding hard to the arm of the Susan girl and she was trying to break free of his grip. But what could he have done about it. None of the victims had been killed in Seattle or Washington State. And so far, no one had threatened her. She shuddered again and nervously rubbed her arms. Sydney spotted Aidan waiting for her by the front stoop. They sold the car and bought passage to New Orleans and there they stayed a week. They every night dined on Cajun or Creole cooking and they walked all about the exotic French Quarter and drank pitchers of beer as they tapped their feet to the music of Dixieland bands.
They rode a sidewheeler up the Mississippi to Baton Rouge and back. Just before they departed New Orleans John sent a telegram to Aunt July notifying her of their arrival date. They lined up even with the trunk. It fell into the trunk with a thud. The foot end curved up the side of the car too high for the lid to close. The killers rushed past him and the dying began.
Her dress was torn, and tears had cut tracks through the soot stains on her face. It had probably been a pretty face once, but not now. Flaming fragments from the TV station next door fell all around her. Only three people were left-a nurse, an EMT, and a pizza delivery guy with a bloody rag pressed to his face.
Fragrant and soft in folds of velvet and fur, her beads clicking upon her bosom, she leaned close. I have dared to hope, but now I know it must be so. He was the picture of the hard-working accountant rather than the CFO, which was why he was so good at what he did.
But we are both far from home now, this God and I. It seems I am the last of my line, and when Le Bel Inconnu discovered it was dying, it had no one else to turn to but me. Especially not here, on the Street of Gods. There is a time for everything, a beginning and an end for all that exists. Le Bel Inconnu was once a great Being, and knew the worship of millions.
Now it is almost completely forgotten, nothing more than an obscure footnote in some of the order histories. Some gazed through mesh-covered windows at the dark void of the East River, while others watched the ward through bars. His cell mates began bickering about who would look better on TV. Benton loudly announced that they were coming through, and they waited. He called out again as a man mopped a corridor that led to the recreation room, where there were tables and chairs, a few board games, and an old home gym with no detachable parts.
Lucy was naked and wet and must have just stepped out of the shower when Morales shot her. Berger got down on the floor next to them, and blood got all over her hands and her blouse as she touched Lucy and told her repeatedly that she would be fine. Everything was going to be fine. But how fitting, he thought, that Ereshki-gal should be the one to notify him. The answer as to how he would save his mother would come to him eventually-just as the real reason for the IEDs had come to him eventually, too.
Schaap entered into the equation, and the General understood almost immediately why the Prince had him prepare the IEDs so far in advance. The Prince most certainly must have foreseen something like this occurring. Yes, the General thought, the Prince never ceased to amaze and terrify him with his power.
There was something about the house that made him feel uneasy. But the sound was repeated and Bellows walked down the hall toward the rear of the building. At the end of the hall he had to turn right into what had been the dining room. The fixture for the gaslight was still in the center of the ceiling. They discouraged visitors for the first week. Coming home, he felt the house to be so empty. He was used to being alone here, but this was a totally different kind of solitude.
The guy out here to watch the front. We rolled down Westminister St. Motorhead talked quietly among themselves but grew silent. I think it finally dawned on them that their driver was terrified. Because I absolutely was. The roads were unplowed and piled up with sleet. This was a car, after all. And this was just two months after Cliff Burton died on an icy road in Sweden.
I did not want history repeating itself. And I had an open alcohol container in the car which would get me and possibly Motorhead arrested. At one point I had to take a hill with a considerable rise and I could hear my tires spin and the back fishtailed slightly. Thankfully I regained control quickly. The drive should take about 15 minutes. It took about I never got that car over 25 MPH, had a death grip on the steering wheel with both hands and looked around, hoping a window would defog.
I had to wipe down the windshield a few times with my hand, but it made a streaky mess. Finally came the turn down to the Biltmore. It happened to be right in front of the Providence Police Station. At last, I rolled up on the curb in front of the Biltmore, put the car in park, let out a long breath and leaned forward on the wheel. It took a few seconds to pry my hands off.
I got out, grabbing the beer instinctually, and opened the trunk, then stepped away as they emptied it. After my initial panic, I quickly poured out the beer, which Lemmy saw. Lemmy roared with laughter and went inside. After disposing of the bottle, I approached the bellman who gave me a heart attack and asked if I could leave the car there since I would only be an hour or so.
He said sure. So I walked inside, looked at the check-in desk and…. Thankfully, the manager had told me they were on the fourth floor. So I went up to the fourth floor, looked around, then slid down against the wall, knees at my chest, wonder how else I could fuck this up. He called me in, and informed me Lemmy was doing a phoner and I would be next. I had no problem waiting because he had a pile of fanzines from around the country about inches thick.
In RI, we had next to no access to these. I was lucky to get Kick Ass and Kerrang! Motorhead went dormant in and came back in What happened in that time? Thrash exploded. With thrash came mosh pits and stage diving.
Lemmy was not used to this. Motorhead was touring with Lizzie Borden at the time, but their previous opening act was the hardcore band The Cro-Mags, and he did not like their audience at all. I interviewed them a few months later, by the way. Nice guys, but the audience scared the hell out of me. His room phone rang. Knowing what a mess the windshield was, I stole a hand cloth from his bathroom.
We went down and met up with Wurzel and Phil. Pete and the manager would come separately, so we headed out. The car was still warm and the defogger had done some of its work. The hand cloth made things much better, and I could finally see. The result was a much more relaxed drive with much joking. So much so I missed my turn. The road was empty behind me so I just put the car in reverse and backed up, causing Phil to express concern about being slammed from behind.
But I don't mind, I'm my own best friend,. My life, my heart, black night, dark star, Capricorn. I've crossed you right off my list,. Too much, too soon, you're way out of tune,. Your perfect smile, betrays your lack of style,. Too bad, no magic, I'm afraid you're really tragic,.
I'm on the run from some institution. Don't run away don't call the cops. I'm here tomorrow I'm gone today. I don't even care what you think your game is. I don't even care what your name is. Gonna show you what it's all about,. I'm gonna make your toenails curl,. I'm really into long legged girls,. I don't really wanna freak you out,. But I'm gonna make ya feel alright,. I was talking to you all night through,. Gonna shake you till your lips turn blue,.
Gonna show you how to strut your stuff,. I'm gonna make your dreams come true,. Gonna show you how to change your luck,. I'll give you supernatural powers,. Ain't nobody could be on your side,. Ain't nobody got their eye on you,. There ain't no shame in my bed at night. They're gonna cut me like a knife,.
I don't care what the hell you call me,. But are ya still coming round tonight? If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man,. You win some, lose some, all the same to me,. The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say,. I don't share your greed, the only card I need is. Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,. Going with the flow, it's all the game to me,.
Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,. Double up or quit, double stake or split,. You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools,. But that's the way I like it baby,. Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me,. Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again,. I see it in your eyes, take one look and die,. The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be,. Knew I had to bite you baby when I first set eyes on you,.
That moment turned me on, I can't believe it's true,. I got no choice, I'm gonna twist your tail,. Thunder lizard, stony eye, you got me hypnotised,. Hot tongue breaks in and out and I can't believe my eyes,. And your soft white belly, next to mine,. Love Me Like A Reptile, you're murder in disguise,. Baby you're a rattlesnake, you know the way I feel,. Feel you crawling up my back, you've got no love to steal,. You know I've got my eyes on you,.
You're petrified, gonna stick like glue,. Love Me Like A Reptile, shock you like an electric eel. Into the West, to see who's gun's the best,. They're all fools, to live by rules,. The horseman turns, the wound that burns,.
You claim you own, your skin your bone,. Your own life, cuts you like a knife,. They'll always treat you like dirt,. But you've only gotta Live To Win. I know it's hard, a natural drag,. Live it up it's their time to fall,. Two o' clock in the morning baby,.
I know it's late, I know it's late,. I've been around for quite a while,. And I've learned to make you smile,. Two o' clock in the morning sugar,. You know I'm sleeping, you must be sleeping,. I'll wake you up, but stay in bed,. Two o' clock in the morning honey,. I'm gonna stop you feeling tired,. I'm coming over and I won't be long,. Just let me finish writing this song,. I'd like to see you burn me down,.
Why don't you let me light your fire? Why don't you let me stoke you higher? Come any time I'll torch you out,. You ain't nowhere near safe with me,. You ain't the first to turn me down,. You ain't the first to turn me round,. Hey baby you're a sweet young thing,. Still tied to Mommy's apron strings,. I don't even dare to ask your age,. It's enough to know you're here backstage,. You're Jailbait, and I just can't wait,.
I don't even want to know your name,. It's enough to know you feel the same,. I don't care about our different ages,. I'm an open book with well thumbed pages,. Get some rock 'n' roll tonight,. Dance, 'til your nerves are shot,. Dance, 'til your bones are tired,. You're dancing 'til you drop,. Rock 'n' roll music's good and loud,.
Enough's enough, believe it's true,. But I don't remember, just what I wrote,. The same old words, to say we're through,. So that's the way it always ends,. Seems there's nothing, nothing else to do,. You know I'm bad, the times I've had,. Treat 'em like ladies, that's a fact,.
But your appearance don't hold no class,. I know you're hot, I know what you've got,. Come on honey, don't you get scared,. Come on honey, let me get you in the sack,. Let the killer go, don't let your mother know,.
Don't go out tonight, don't even try to fight,. And I'm here to stay, it's gonna be that way,. Don't try to run, don't try to scream,. Believe me, The Hammer's gonna smash your dream. I'm in your life, just might be in your wife,. Could be behind your back, I might be on your track,.
And it might be true, I might be onto you,. I'll scare you half to death, I'll take away your breath,. Don't try to see, don't try to hide,. Believe me, The Hammer's gonna make you die. There ain't no way, you'll see another day,. I'm shooting out your lights, bring you eternal night,. And your eternal tricks, begin to make me sick,. The only thing I know, is that you've gotta go,.
Don't try to hide, don't look around,. Believe me, The Hammer's gonna bring you down,. Believe me, The Hammer's coming down. Scared to death there's someone near. Scared to move but you can't stay here. Flying hooves don't touch the ground.
Can't go on but you can't go back. You seem to think that it's a game. Sling your hook I ain't your slave. You know you're dancing in the dark. I know the way you feel I know it ain't too good. I know it feels like there's detergent in your blood. But don't you worry, gonna make you feel alright. I'm gonna lift your black depression, help you through the night.
I'm your man, you know I'll help you if I can. I know you're desperate, I really sympathise. I see the morbid horror flicker in your eyes. But rest assured I'm gonna help to ease your pain. I'm gonna put a thousand tiny implants in your brain. I'm your boy, I'll make you undulate with joy. Don't get too depressed, I've found a way to help your case. A little hypodermic sends you into outer space. You'll feel much better when you take these little pills.
I'm gonna give you 60 bottles, I believe in overkill. Heart attack, you know you're never coming back. You can go to hell, you can go to hell. I thought ya might've been the answer. I'm a loser, that's what they said.
You buy me a drink and you wish that I was dead. I'm a loser and I don't know their names. Cost you a million just to sign your name. They don't know your arse from a hole in the ground. There's only minutes left to zero.
Exactly what I'm trying to get at. America, hot as hell, hysterical, cast your spell. The endless road, another night to bend your mind. White line fever, I think that state patrol car's still behind. America, cold as death, up to Canada, Crystal Meth. Another West Coast turnaround and back to start. Yakima Reservation, just another broken heart. America, liked it fine, Sinsemilla, Ripple Wine. Another Schoolgirl with her daddy's Pontiac. Another killer from the wrong side of the tracks. The way I see it, don't do no good.
Sometimes you can't raise no help. I swear I get so tired of aggravation. Believe me baby it's nowhere, nowhere. You're born broke and you die alone. Yes, I'm a speekfreak, speedfreak. Cos I'm a speedfreak, everlasting speedfreak. People gonna make ya wonder if you're right. Keep ya wide awake and worried late at night. Why don't ya tell'em to beat it. Why don't ya tell'em to eat it. Sons of bitches, crocodile tears in their eyes. We scare'em shitless just by showin' up alive.
Why don't you tell'em to shove it. Evil bastards ain't got nothin' else to do. Make your life a misery and put you off your food. Don't let'em steal your thunder. Don't need Jesus Christ Superstar. Bet your life you don't need religion. Don't save no kneepads for me up there.
If your head's alright, ya don't need binoculars to see the light. I'm already trying to fight depression. Took her to a bar, I though I'd covered all my tracks. Thought I had it made, I felt daggers in my back. You came walkin' through the door sailed into the attack. I ain't gonna fight it baby, there ain't no excuse.
Don't know what to tell ya, but I hope you don't cut loose. It don't matter anyway, my head is in the noose. I can tell you ain't exactly listening to me. I just wish that I could thing of some place else to be. I'm gonna make it up to you, just you wait and see. Hammer pounding in my heart, I think it's gonna burst. Spring unwinding in my head, I don't know which is worse. I hear ya talkin' but the words are kinda strange. One of us is crazy and the other one's insane.
Stay calm, don't be alarmed, it's just a holiday. Nothin' in this cold white room to help me recognise. I don't understand why everyone is in disguise. I gotta live right now, I can't stay here no more. But I'm afraid to try in case they've locked the door. Can't find the windows but I gotta get outside. Can you help me stand it feels like both my legs have died.
What was that injection, 'cos I think it's goin' wrong. I really like this jacket but the sleeves are much too long. But you know I'm a real good lover. Can't trust your intuition no more. Bet ya thought I wouldn't have no style. Won't know til you hit the ground. First bite, you know I got a taste for you. I know you thought you're a real operator. I'm a highsteppin' like an indian brave.
You couldn't buy me with a million, babe. I'm know you think I'm real rough trade. Let me hear it 'til the end of time. Rock'n'roll music gonna stop the world. No time for anything to take the pain away. You're a clockwork toy, you're a dime a dance. You know it's just the same for you. Say no more, you know you can't go back.
You're acting dumb babe, you don't know. You know you tell the truth in a different way. Another battle's over, it's a million soldiers. Never rise again, we lost a million friends. Don't try to understand, if you weren't there. You felt different then, marching off to war. Show no quarter, delight in slaughter. Up for your last long ride, maybe God's on the other.
Don't need no vindication, fight for the nation. You know you're going to hell, but you wear it well. You'll never understand if you weren't there. Here's the story, there's only me. It's only you, babe, it's only you. I can't believe the things you do. It's only me, babe, it's only me. I can't believe the tales you tell me.
I ain't buyin' the stuff you sell me. Hey baby, I'm tellin' ya what. You think I'm sold, baby I'm not. But I know, whoa babe, it's the same old story. You reckon that I'm goin' right thru. I'm just gonna keep your guessing. You'll find that I'm real bad luck. But think of the money you'll save. But I know whoa babe it's the same old story. You can smell the danger, watch your step.
See the frienly stranger stretch your neck. Keep them in the dark, now, it's alright. Your shadows alive, it breathes at your side. Got no place to hide, be with you 'til the day you die. You can hear the rumors, shut your mouth. Deal with the misfits, wipe 'em out. Search in all the bedrooms, use your head. Listen to your conscience, wake the dead. Rats in all the rooms, babe, hit the floor. I think it's a gamble, but what's your sign.
Hey baby you're a sweet young thing. I don't even want to know your age. I'm just happy you're back stage. You're jailbait and I just can't wait. I don't even want to know your name. It's enough to know you feel the same. I don't care about our different ages. I'm an open book with wellthumbed pages. Don't let them rob ya of the only way ya know. Although they're always gonna tell ya it's a sin. And there is no one that can stop you being alone. But you're just chasin' smoke. But you know I'm a real good lover,.
Bet ya thought I wouldn't have no style,. Won't know til you hit the ground,. First bite, you know I got a taste for you,. Ain't nobody could be on your side. Ain't nobody got their eye on you. Though I was done for now, well here's a big surprise. I'm like a nightmare babe, I'm here to mess with you. I'll make your hair stand up and I'll make your lips turn blue. Ring your bell and that's the truth. Speed don't kill and I'm the proof.
I've just been waiting here, and you were late again,. But I knew you'd be back, I hoped you'd bring a friend. I want you to believe that there is no way out. You're in the snakepit, babe, there's a lot of it about. So now you know my name, I guess you realise. Don't try to fight babe, I got you hypnotised. And sometime late tonight you'll hear the were wolf call. Gonna be old Snaggletooth gotcha by the bals.
Gets up close you know, I just ain't got a word to say. I don't know why she's got her claws in me,. Sneaking up the stairway, running like a thief,. Oh I remember the first time I took her to a cheap motel,. Well I woke up drunk, you know I felt like Eskimo Nell. Well I get so nervous when I see his eyes that shine,. Gets too close and a chill runs down my spine. You think you hear me you better listen fast.
The only reason was your guilt and greed. And you caught your fingers in the pearly gates. You know your problems they ain't exactly new. You're a financial wizard, a top tycoon. Sweet lounge lizard with a silver spoon. You know you've never had it quite so good. And you didn't know that you even could. Like a nightmare, like a nightmare babe, like a nightmare, nightmare.
It's gonna make your blood freeze. Oh you know how I feel when you set me free. Like a nightmare, like a nightmare babe,. He moves so slowly but he's coming after you. Nowhere to hide and not a thing that you can do. You're on his mind, you're on his mind. You're gonna leave the human race,.
You know you can't stand the pace. Don't try to run, he's gonna find you day or night. Just sit and shiver and be ready for the bite. You're lost in hostile space, gonna feel the cold embrace. You're in a state of grace, he's gonna steal your face. Nowhere to run you know he's never far away.
Knows where you are and he gets closer every day. And I'll bet that he can't wait. You know he's gonna take the bait. I'm afraid you're merely tragic. Hey, fellows, have you heard the news? The girls on the town are being misused. Girls leaving this town 'cause you don't treat'em right. Hey, you fellows, better change your ways. Or they'll be leaving this town in a matter of days. We fellows run around with someone new.
But the way that we treat'em is a crying shame. One day, one day, and it won't belong. You know I'm rollin' know I'm coming through. Hear me howlin', catchin' up on you. Station to station, beating up the track. Check on your time, 'cos I ain't never coming back. I'm explosive, I'm a locomotive. I'm your engineer, looping up the curve.
Stoke up your fire babe, burning up your nerve. You know the story, know that I can't fail. Power and glory, burning up the rails. Roll you all night babe, drive you round the bend. Ain't got no brakeman, got no mail to drop. Rollin' forever, never gonna stop. Stoneface dog, swirling fog, gates open on the dark dark night. Standing stone, skull and bone, dead witness to an unseen fight. Beat the drum, beat the drum, beat forever on the endless march. Stricken dumb, cut and run, someone is screaming and the sky is dark.
Sword and shield, bone and steel, rictus grin. March or croak, flame and smoke, burn forever in eternal pain. Charge and fall, bugle call, bone splinter in the driving rain. Horses scream, Viking dream, drowned heroes in a lake of blood. Armoured fist, severed wrist, broken spears in a sea of mud. Mother earth, mother earth enfold you in her cold embrace. Sinking down, killing ground, worm crawling on your cold white face. Win or lose, nought to choose, all men are equal when their memory fades.
No one knows, friends or foes, if Valhalla lies beyond the grave. You're playing tricks babe, and that's a fact. Your magic circle ain't where's its at. One moment you were here, and then you disappeared. This ain't the first time that I've caught your act. You know your slight of hand is messing up my life. Maybe this time babe you're gonna get it right. One moment I was there, now just an empty chair. This ain't the first time you've shout out my lights. Saw me in half babe, and that's quite a trick.
You make me laugh babe, you make me sick. I'm gone but now you lack the spell to bring me back. This ain't the first time I've seen your magic slip. I don't believe a word, I know you tell me lies. Just watch me flip the bird, right in your lyin' eyes. You just can't figure out, why I'm the way I am. I'm lowlife born and bred, and I don't give a damn. I've had enough, I'm stepping out of line.
Ain't gonna stop me babe, you ain't worth a dime. You nearly had me fooled, wastin' my time. I'm here to tell you, was here and now I'm gone. You need a wages slave, but I sure ain't the one. I'm moving off the lot, just hire another act. I don't need what you got, that ain't where I'm at.
Just show me the door, here I go again. I seen it all before, happens now and then. No tears in your eyes, sure ain't none in mine. Two people in disguise, frozen in time. I was hoping you'd be here tonight. Don't know what you're running for. He thinks he's got you where he wants you babe. But he don't understand the power of the claw. He's going to have to make his own way home. I don't know what's he's smiling for.
He thinks you're gonna keep your promises babe. And he begins to know just what the claw is for. The claw, the claw, the claw, the claw. Midnight runaway, know you're running scared. Bright lights, big city, nobody seems to care. Open your eyes who's there, who's there. Unclean, fever dream on the high side, in the Mean Machine.
Black bomber in the night, can you handle the pain. Better call the FBI, better change your name. Unclean, fever dream, on the wild side in the Mean Machine. Unclean, fever dream, take a ride Mean Machine. Wet dream, bad scene, we don't care where you been.
On the screen, movie queen, things ain't always. What they seem. Off the high side in the Mean Machine. You know the rules, you all know the game. But I don't think its in the stars. I'll be here for a long, long time babe. I was born to rock'n'roll, everything I need. Bet your life it ain't no easy money. Don't you listen to a single word.
The new religion, the electric church. Iron child out of Vulcans forge, metal scream and thrash. Red steel in the driving wheel, hear the pistons clash. Dragon breathin' big black smoke, howlin' up the tracks.
I'm ridin' on the Thunderchief, spit in the devil's eye. Juggernaut comin' down the line, hear the banshee cry. Engineer like to lose his mind. Too fast to live this way, too young to die. Hold tight, feel the drivers bite, hear the whistle moan. Engine rockin' to the left and right, vibratin' in my bones. Once the locomotive steals your soul, you got a Casey Jones. No force on earth can hurt me now, kiss your ass goodbye. I hope you son of bitches see the light. I know you've got a mental age of ten.
I wouldn't swap you for a thousand bucks. I think I'm going to switch your lazer on. I've got the power, I've got the speed. I'll find out how to stop your clock. We sure ain't talking Doctor Spock. Here come the sister gonna strip you down. Lets have the address of your next of kin. You've got a body like a Marshall stack. Or I'm gonna make you really ill. The only chance you've ever got of getting away. I don't like anything I've seen so far. I am the one, Orgasmatron, the outstretched grasping hand.
My image is of agony, my servants rape the land. Obsequious and arrogant, clandestine and vain. Two thousand years of misery, of torture in my name. Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law. My name is called religion, sadistic, sacred whore. I twist the truth, I rule the world, my crown is called deceit. I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet. I rob you and I slaughter you, your downfall is my gain.
And still you play the sycophant and revel in you pain. And all my promises are lies, all my love is hate. I am the politician, and I decide your fate. I march before a martyred world, an army for the fight. I speak of great heroic days, of victory and might. I hold a banner drenched in blood, I urge you to be brave. I lead you to your destiny, I lead you to your grave. Your bones will build my palaces, your eyes will stud my crown.
For I am Mars, the god of war, and I will cut you down. And you know I've got unfinished business. Bet your life it ain't no easy livin'. But I wouldn't change the situation. There's only one thing that I need. Let's see if you are hungry enough,. Take a bite, take another, just like a good boy would,. Don't mess around, don't give me no switch,.
I love the way that you lick your lips,. You're on the shelf, maybe eat yourself,. Lyin' and thieving all your life,. That don't mean you got the right. But don't forget you'll never,. You think that life's all dollars,. Ain't so bad, ain't so bad, could've been a loser. Ain't so bad, ain't so bad, rather be a boozer. Standing at the crossroads, see where the wind blows. Following the white line, following my nose.
You've been living on a razor's edge, soon as you learned to shave. Make sure you live, be a long time dead. Ain't too good, don't look good, but it'll get worse. Don't look good, don't feel good, it's gonna take years. Life drives you nuts, babe, 'cos you ain't certain. Kicks you in the guts, babe, and leaves you hurting. Don't matter up or down, sideways, in or out. If it makes you feel good, do it, and then get out. Don't spend your life on your own bed. Ain't so bad, ain't so bad, could've been a junkie.
Ain't so bad, ain't all bad, could've had a monkey. You can't take it with you, not even if you earn it. So find out what you need babe, then you'd better learn it. It don't matter who you are, millionaire or whore. Just get out and scrape that jar, that's what they've got it for. You've been living on a razor's edge, one way to behave. Make sure you do it, it'll cut you dead. Well here, babe, look at you, and you with someone else,.
Turned out like all the others, leave me by myself,. That's how it works I guess, and you like all the rest. Guess I can handle it, if that's the way it is. If that's how it has to be, I won't get mad. I got rock 'n' roll, to save me from the gold. And if that's all there is, it ain't so bad.
I never been a one to have no stedy girl,. I love the way I live, runnin' round the world. I like to fool around, love to tear 'em down. And if I leave, you love to miss me when I'm gone. I can't imagine growin' old with anyone. Marching to a different drum, I hear a different song.
We feel fortunate to have had Punishment 18 [who released their first two albums] and now Dissonance give us a chance and provide some support. Once things calm down and live music starts happening again, I sense a big musical surge occurring and that can only be a good thing for both bands and fans. It has also allowed us to roll out a more focused and direct promotion for the album. With that said, there is nothing like promoting an album by playing live.
We have no current plans, for obvious reasons, but are hopeful things will materialise once the album is released and the pandemic is under control. We are also holding out hope to play at the True Thrash Festival in Japan [they missed the edition due to travel restrictions and visa issues]. I know there are a lot of musicians itching to start playing again, and the fans are salivating as well.
I am always hopeful that positives will result from negatives, and I think this pandemic will restart a world of music like no other. And the reaction so far has been brilliant. People seem to understand it. This was a pain in the arse to come together, and we were fighting it all the way through, but when it did come together it was great.
But I suppose the biggest difference was getting Mike [Heller] in on drums. So we worked hard with the writing and the pre-production and the arrangements, more than we had for a really long time. And it paid off. And then Mark brought his material in, and he had outrageously good songs, as he always does, and so we had it all together before Mike was even on the horizon, pretty much.
So we had it together, but Mike was really the X Factor, the extra ingredient in pushing that material and taking it to where it should be, and beyond. There was literally nothing to compare the band to at that time. So we learned from the best, absolutely. We just took from the bands we liked when they were playing exciting stuff because you saw the reaction of the audience, and you felt the reaction of the audience.
And we saw lots and lots and lots of bands, and drew from all of them. Look at a. And they learned from the best, too. They took a lot from Slade. The other stuff is the icing on the cake. So we just took from the exciting moments we saw from other bands, and just went with it.
One more, one more Absolutely fried. So that was a learning thing. They might as well be selling baked beans. Screw them. We were in a different country being fed by someone else with no real safety net, and after the Atlantic thing we had a period. Where do we go from here? So, we just pulled ourselves up by the bootstraps and made it work.
And we got slagged in the press, and you get this scathing review and then you see a photograph of the guy who reviewed it drunk and unconscious at the gig. Hammerfall opening for us. Then we toured with Udo in Europe in early and did about five or six shows with him over in America. And then the leg brace got smaller, and smaller, and, force of nature that he is, off he goes once more!
Stick our flag in the ground and we move forward from here. That was really. We actually got to play for the first time a lot of the European festivals, we got to go back to Japan, we got to go to South America for the first time, stuff like that. What do we have? That, and cut down a couple of the gaps between songs. And it was funny. Otherwise, what are you going to do? Every band dreams of making that one monumental work where planets, elements and personalities lock in perfectly-aligned syncopation to produce the album that will change everything, igniting rave reviews, chart success, sold-out tours and be hailed an all-time classic in decades to come.
No, elephant bollocks! If this one was still for the Motorhead massive, it was also going to dynamite open the saloon doors for the three desperadoes on the cover to take the world, and brand the buttocks of rock history with their fearsome warpig. All that dogged playing and surviving abject poverty together had turned Lemmy, Phil and Eddie into a telepathic threeheaded monster with no other option than to make that killer Lemmy was predicting.
After an early gig supporting Blue Oyster Cult at Hammersmith Odeon that October, Motorhead were already being called the worst band in the world when they started recording their first album at Rockfield Studios. Ted knew Lemmy from Hawkwind days when he bought records from his stall on Soho Market.
Trooping into Escape Studios in Egerton, Kent, with ex-Thunderclap Newman singer-drummer Speedy Keen producing, Motorhead laid down enough backing tracks for a whole album in 24 hours. Impressed, Ted signed them for a whole album. Reaching number 25 in the charts, Motorhead were finally on wax and a UK tour supporting Hawkwind, often blowing off the headliners, put them on the map before their Beyond The Threshold Of Pain tour kicked off in July.
The next step was experiencing my first Motorhead gig. Fortunately, that August they were playing our local club, Friars Aylesbury. When I walked into the dressing room to do the interview, Lemmy greeted me with a large, plastic bag of biker speed which he gouged up with a Nazi dagger. Doing the album has given us an identity and sense of direction.
You get sucked into the bastard thing. His lair was a basement room in an old Victorian house, within staggering distance from the pubs we often frequented. After weeks away on tour, Lemmy would return to the low-lit room, festooned with old posters, photos, trophies, World War Two memorabilia, littered with books, skulls and records, a stuffed anteater in the corner instead of a TV. The monster called Motorhead and the legend called Lemmy never left this strict loner who never wanted anyone to copy his look or life, maybe only his attitude; honest, down-to-earth with wicked sense of humour.
You go into it feet first, hopefully with your eyes open. We all hated it. The writing was fast and it came out alright. Listen to the way we play them tonight and then the album. On the Bronze coach that day,.
I most remember standing on a balcony looking down at the baying thousands in Motorhead t-shirts going apeshit to this band who, two years earlier, were playing venues a fraction of this size. Now they were being presented with silver discs by Queen impersonator Jeanette Charles. Despite Motorhead-mania breaking out in soldout large halls, the band greeted endless queues after the show, signing every poster, arm or jacket. It was never a career plan, as such, just the next logical step in their ongoing rise - and the one to shove a gnarled, smelly sock in the mouths of those bleating detractors, once and for all.
First they needed new songs - before recording commenced this time - and then a different producer. We went down to Rockfield and rehearsed for two weeks, got the general riffs worked out. We used a little one-birth caravan with a four-track deck and recorded five or six numbers.
It was a good excuse for a holiday. Eddie had his fishing rod, Phil had a chance to work on his car. It was quite good really. Dead easy. We always write the same way. In fact, I had a fine turn this morning when I woke up! Me and Phil would be in their all the time playing He obviously had a knack for capturing simple, guitar-. He handed the studio to his sons after he fell ill before passing away in Albums film. He used to sit there like dry. We were gonna drop all of them at one point.
I took a backing track home and just laid a load of solos on it, found one I liked and went in the studio and double-tracked it. Bit poppy for me. I refused to do that on tour! We really got into Vic Maile, great geezer. He had a way of getting stuff out of us. He talked Lemmy into the work I was taking there, they let me pick what singing. You can actually hear the words, man! My bit of the power out of it; somehow Vic simplified style of production is very basic and simple.
It feels it - one guitar; one rhythm guitar, bass and drums. As nice here. It looks a bit beat up, but the groups feel simple as possible. It worked. Then we of research. Ace of spades Side One 1. It was too slow too. I thought that might be the one; very sparse. Vic even managed to get Phil to rein in his around-the-kit percussive bombardments, erupting with enthusiasm when I asked him about the album after it was finished. Obviously live I like to have a good thrash round the old kit. I love to bash all them fucking drums, but on record I must admit it pays off to be less cluttered.
Vic helped because he would suggest where or what to do in a certain place. So I just simplified it - less tom-tom fills - and it worked. It only kept getting better as songs appeared after Lemmy had written the lyrics; always the last task once backing tracks were recorded. And you could actually hear what he was singing! Bing Crosby, in the great tradition of. We put down the riffs and I go home and write words.
Midway through a French tour Lemmy had one tattooed on his left. The title was inspired by the cards wild west folk hero Wild Bill Hickok was clutching when he was fatally shot in the back by a gambler in Deadwood, Dakota in It just defines us really. You have to have something to tie the thing around. Adopts chinstroking tone I believe in themes, you know. When I was a kid watching films, I always wanted the Germans, or the Indians, or the Confederates to win.
Always wanted the obvious loser to win. I mean, you never see me completely fucking out of it. You never see me falling all over the floor, puking up over everyone, being totally obnoxious, having to be carried home. I never get like that. How can I? As long as you can do it onstage you can get as fucked up as you like, as long as you can go out and deliver.
The walk? His smile said it all. And awesome to meet Legs and Co! Then came the album, twelve tracks of rip-snorting Motorhead, captured as nature intended with power intact, hot-wired instead of over-egged. It finally came out as it is.
Seemed to work out alright. I was getting into the works - the suits, the guns, it all came together. All missed the point that Lemmy cheerfully admitted he was often sending up the macho chest-beating so rife in rock, yet po-faced critics took his cackling on the crapper lyrics seriously, even called him dumb.
The following day they were returning again to my local Friars. Everyone else is just pretending. My piece featured some of the most sensible interviews Motorhead ever gave; in low-lit hotel rooms rather than backstage chaos. The first gig in Ipswich was fucking murder for the first half hour. I got quite nervous in the end. People actually do things for you now, the record company. Your body gets trained; one round, three minutes. The whole point of your training is so your body is so used to that kind of physical exertion that you only need a thirty second break between rounds.
But I can cope with it! No problem. I really like them kids. A lot of people in this business just give them lip service. I hate all that. I hated it when I was going around getting autographs off the Beatles and all that. Phil said last night when we did a radio thing that he can see Motorhead doing a Status Quo and carrying on.
And we probably will. I think I might have to get off the road in seven years! When you sit signing autographs after, I love all that. A lot of kids ask you what they should do with their lives, as if you should know! You were sitting next to me last night, you heard all those kids, they sort of regard you as some sort of god. Obviously you like the fame.
Because at one time we really were a swear word in the Music Biz. Nobody wanted to know. Thankfully, the booze had loosened him up so he. A definite mistake to ditch. Solid as the proverbial rock. By then, Motorhead had been named as a major influence by everyone from Metallica on down, while genres they were credited with igniting were running amok, with endless silly sub-titles.
Again, Lemmy took the same stance as he did when punks liked Motorhead but berated their long hair and heavy metal had its own conservative cliches that excluded them too. Classify us as Motorhead under M. There was no confusion. It was all quite simple. One thing we are is unique. No-one else does it. As this marvellous boxset shows, no one could ever come close to Motorhead.
Praise was high but still ultimately underground. To me, they embody so much more than sheer grit though. The band tackle deep, dark and meaningful lyrical matters whilst delivering a blend of punk driven, noise-laced sludge that is totally unlike anything else out there right now. Their music is perhaps some of the most abrasive to grace the stage of metal for many years. At the helm of this aggressive power trio is musical maestro Ethan Lee McCarthy, who I would say has risen to the role of a prominent metal figurehead, especially so in sludge and doom circles.
With backgrounds in not just metal but noise. You play with extreme ideas in almost every sense, drone, noise, doom, death, sludge… I could go on. Is this intended unity a means of bringing a wider metal community together? Has the isolation of the virus given you a chance to focus on anything new? Stuff of that nature. A huge protest at the moment is of course the massively important BLM movement.
Was this a conscious decision and what was the reason. You also have your solo noise project Many Blessings - how did this come about? Then it sort of took a back seat to my metal bands aside from the PM noise stuff and I decided I wanted to pick it up again as a solo artist. I often view noise as being very punk, how is the DIY nature of the genre important to you?
And because we tour often enough we get to meet and see different bands in all of these places. If we are going somewhere that we know about an artist we like, we always try to get them on the bill if it makes sense. What was your motivation to get so many splits under your belt? It has also been used as a justification for genocide and is the religion of the oppressor. How would you respond to this? We are absolutely trying to be as heavy as humanly possible at all times.
Finally, can I ask for any words of wisdom for coping with living through the virus for your fans? But most of my favourite artists usually speak on the darker themes of life. Forgive me if this is a touch personal but I know that you were raised Catholic and are now atheist, can you take us through what sparked your loss of faith? VAR calls me from Bergen, eager to talk about an album that has been in the can for several months but has been pushed to October due to the global situation.
For people not familiar with Norse mythology, he explains that there are several worlds. The world of men. Then outside of Asgard is a land of the unknown, the dark lands, where there are giants that live. The gods come from the giants, who were the first beings in Norse mythology but they have a hostile relationship with them because the giants simply cannot be ruled over. You have to have some sort of dialogue with your own aggression or else it will show up. He cites the situation within the band as a primary cause for that.
That worked out very well. Then Cato, who had been with us since , he left to prioritise his family, which is of course understandable. Then Iver was able to join shortly after, a guy that was already the sixth member. It gave a feeling of calm, of being in the eye of the storm. It just gave a feeling of immense inspiration.
In that frame of mind, I just sat down and played acoustic guitar and it just poured out. All of it. On the musical side, absolutely. Also on the social level. To get these guys in really hungry and just ready to do whatever it takes. A fresh perspective on things. You live with the fact that the band is almost 30 years old. I ask Ivar whether that had much of an impact on the way the album. Doing the entire album without seeing daylight was of course influential.
I know just having the point of the riff, to get there quicker in a sense. I wanted to get the riff across more efficiently. You could say that was bit deliberate. But then again, everything is just done on instinct. This is all the songs. The album just wants to be this length.
You have to leave it like that. We collect vinyls, we listen to music all the time, we discuss music all the time. We want to have what we find interesting and giving in music, we want to have that in our own music. You just have to go out on that journey and experiment and try and see how you can blend it. You just have to find a way to make it seamless as you say but also to make it logical. That makes sense. So a half year postponement of the release is nothing compared to the hardships bands are experiencing all over.
I think we could not have been luckier when this whole thing happened. We are very glad to see that the interest is still there that was there in May. He then switched genres to black metal two years later and created Enslaved. There might be too many options. Also I think that the measurement of success seems to be a little bit streamlined. The way you are successful is to be recognised and famous instantly. I kind of feel bad for the youngsters feeling like that because it should be a lot more what you are getting from it yourself.
Of course, we also had an ambition. Our big dream was to get a record contract. That was the whole dream that we had when we were working with Phobia and also Enslaved. Then all these wonderful things started happening; getting to tour, selling albums in a lot of different countries. But it was secondary. It was sort of a surprise gift. The main focus was to make our own favourite music and have a jolly good time in the rehearsal room, which we still do.
How does he look back on that era given the distance of almost three decades? I have very fond memories of it. Obviously we were quite lucky I guess to not be in the centre of all those controversial things that happened. It was a very creative time. A sensation of it being a scene, of doing something together. A very strong community feeling. The competitiveness that was there was not about being best or selling the most but being able to create your own sound in a sense.
To do something original, that was very highly valued. Of course there was bad stuff that happened but there were just a few people involved in that. INCE , alongside the release of their debut album, Skeletal Remains has been seeing success in the metal underground around North American and Europe alike. Having found a place on both continents, the band also quickly found themselves touring constantly, with portions of time writing and recording their next two albums.
There has always been one constant in Skeletal Remains though, guitarist and vocalist Chris Monroy. I used to get together with friends and we would jam music. We would just play covers, Disincarnate covers, Gorguts covers, Pestilence covers, Death, all the classic stuff. We sent a few ideas and this is just what he came up with, but it definitely does have a very Covenant-era feel to the video.
So the key questions was: what are the major changes from the last record to this one? It was just me, with my computer and a drum machine. I was coming up with all the drum beats myself. I knew I wanted a way more aggressive record this time and I wanted the drums to be a key part of that. The drums are supposed to dictate the speed and aggressiveness of the record.
Obviously I focused a lot on the riffs, but when it came to the drums, I was making sure things would flow together well and making sure everything fit well together. I just wanted this record to be a lot more extreme than our past records. This Disincarnate cover was actually supposed to be on our second record - we had to record that record twice.
We asked our friend Carlos Cruz from Warbringer to fill in for the record because we knew he was a great drummer. Since we knew it was last minute, instead of asking him to learn all these songs plus a cover, we just asked him to learn the songs and scratched the idea of having the cover.
He was very hardheaded about it, so we got rid of that idea for covering on that record. One of Skeletal Remains first major tours was across Europe and included festival appearances, which is surprising for a band early in their career out of the States. They were releasing most the stuff out in Europe, while here at home the only way we could release it was through us personally. Luckily we were still able to do all that stuff. At the end of the day, it is what it is. We take it day by day, hoping we can get back out there as soon as possible so we can play the new music for people.
The most important thing is for us, our family and loved ones, and the fans to be healthy. We were supposed to record in the studio where we recorded the drums, but since Covid hit we recorded everything else at home. In that way, it worked out for the best. Things came to a head where we went separate ways with our old bass player, Nick Schendzielos.
We asked him to send in some videos of him playing some of the more difficult, older material and he was able to do it. Instead of doing tryouts from fifty different people that we never met before, he made it so much easier to choose someone we already know, who also wanted to be in the band. David explains the technique the two were going for and how to intertwine it with the rest of the music. Then vice versa when the guitars are more upfront and going crazy, the bass needs to step back and reign it in a little bit and not be going nuts.
David explains that the song is about using fear to control people. All of this feels like one big mechanism to scare you into submission and scare you into acting a certain way, so that would be the number one song that relates to all this. David has been pushing for several years now. They have become relatively rare. The label created some new colours and new layouts for the vinyl packaging, and very cool swirl patterns that go with the album artwork.
The artwork got a remaster and I think the audio might have also got a remaster. These should start shipping out in October. I like the limited-run thing, it makes it more exciting than just having a million pressings of the same thing out there. You get limited runs of different pressings, then it becomes more like trading cards. Death lends its hateful tinge to every action in our lives, nullifying our pathetic hope to create footprints in the sands of time by blowing its chilling and negating winds across all the follies of mankind.
Our only voice is an impotent scream into the infinite void which will be the fate of everyone… a thought not so mundane or maddening. Their experience of life is a painting open for interpretation. The same. Elements which are crucial to the cocktail of their custom resonance. The songs are just a vehicle to be able to show off your wardrobe or how skilled your plastic surgeon is. You do the math. Comparisons can be helpful yet a hindrance at the same time. Was it, or is it of any concern for R.
To adequately convey a description of R. In a world that is experiencing complicated issues at present there is only one solution. Numb your mind, crack a brew and crank up the fuzz. The Portland posse have their own agenda so Mark Freebase was ready to indulge in cosmic conversation with badass Ben. Also it is not insignificant that we can only see these stars when our sun chooses to hide its own brilliance.
This is the relationship R. The fear is to scare off any wimps who may damage their frail minds listening to such heavy rock, the curiosity is to entice the brave and the free thinkers to take a dive into the world of R. Not forgetting the feverish adoration of the most beautiful men and women on earth, the deafening roar of thousands and thousands of dedicated fans. Allimportant experiences enabling them to reach the zenith where they now sit. The closing to this psychedelic trip is summed up by innocent truths.
You had to risk your life going to the some of the most heinous dive bars around to check out some real freaks playing disgusting music. Heavy metal has gotten very soft and easy since then. All the most obscure and evil bands streamed right to your headphones on an algorithm controlled playlist while you sit comfy in your apartment wearing your Nightmare Before Christmas pyjamas and petting your cats. The time to suffer for metal is upon us once again.
Highly acclaimed in their homeland of Italy but yet to break the ground of mainland Europe and further afield, Mark Freebase spoke with notorious frontman Steve Sylvester to gather the ghastly details. Steve was keen to give us the lowdown on these developments. Over the years, our entire back catalogue has been reprinted several times in different editions and in different countries.
For this reason we had to push the boat out, and deliver some nice packages. A blood red vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve including a pop-up image of the band to boot! Plus a nice boxset; again including a coloured vinyl, an exclusive t-shirt, and a couple of extras. It was an album that did very well for us. This is only the start of our re-issue campaign, though.
Then a couple of months later we have the second batch of re-issued picture discs, followed on with the third and final batch forecast for a February release, all to be finalised with the brand new Death SS album around Spring time This will be our tenth studio album. Steve was delighted to be a part of this event. We are trying to prioritise some exclusive appearances at events where we can maximise our presence and bring people the full Death SS live experience. We are a very visual band onstage, so the live show is a.
This is a big volume of pages and specifies all the relevant information related to the band. It was written in participation with the acclaimed music journalist Gianni Della Cioppa and is proving to be a pleasing success in Italy. An English version is due to be published soon I am told.
The novel is a crucial follow up to my first book The Necromancer Of Rock which chronicled the birth of the band, from up to and came out several years ago. Their development and contribution to something special is a proud achievement for. Obviously we would like to achieve a wider audience and gain more status. None of this… I love dealing with horror-esoteric topics so writing texts of this kind come naturally to me.
Creating good horror related music and lyrics comes from positive creativity. The imagination. Remember negativity is not a good aspect. One of the most negative things about human life is certainly ignorance, and the lack of openness that leads most people to think according to patterns set by someone else. For this reason, I have always chosen to deal with esoteric topics that could be interpreted on different levels of analysis.
I like to explore the human soul without setting limits and barriers and without following any dogma. But it is important to dig deeper, embrace the fantasies and experience the whole Death SS package. Each cover explicitly recalls the mood that I intend to express musically and it is therefore very important for me that the feeling transmitted is the right one. For the last three albums I have had the pleasure of collaborating with famous painters and authors of sexy-comics such as the master Emanuele Taglietti and Alex Horley.
A term coined in honour of the God Pan… divinity of humour, love and confusion with the addition of the dual characteristic of God of the woods, a jester which causes laughter and terror at the same time.
Hence the subversive, liberating impulse against the restrictions be it moral, social, rational or aesthetic. Rock has never been just a musical genre, it represents the youth rebellion. Unfortunately, all of this seems to no longer find fertile ground in the era of musical conformity. We were the first band in the world to create an entire horror concept with satanic icons, each musician visually covering characters from horror films and novels.
We have received six tribute albums from all over the world, and we have influenced many others apparently. Even then, it would be almost two years before the band would take their place at the top of the Donington bill. First, there was a new LP to record, and so when they took the stage that night it was in support of their second No.
First impressions were encouraging. They were still more a cult band at this stage, although a cult band very much on the up. So that afternoon they were just another band on the bill, albeit one whose attitude revolved around some kind of anarchic nihilism. The momentum the band had built up was evaporating, the clock was ticking down, and the pacing of their set indicated that it was being juggled to play slowerpaced material.
Even spectating from a way off it was obvious that something was wrong. The video screen to the left of the stage as seen by the crowd had already collapsed due to high winds, the crowd kept growing, the band stopped again and asked people to step back One particular surge started at stage right and stopped suddenly with a crowd collapse at the centre of the audience approximately fifteen yards out from the front of stage… I sent a fourman team into the crowd to assist and assess the problem.
At the same time I sent a message to. The singer immediately stopped the show and then used the stage PA to calm the crowd and advise them of the problem. Ground conditions were bad and the people involved were covered in mud We managed to lift most people up and were passing them towards the pit when unfortunately the band onstage assumed that the incident had been fully contained and they resumed playing. Suddenly, the whole crowd around us erupted.
A large section of the crowd, and two of our own security team, collapsed in front of us. I witnessed approximately thirty to thirty-five bodies that suddenly piled up in front of me covered in mud. Our efforts to pull people off of the pile were hampered by the fact that people behind us climbed onto our backs in an attempt to what we now know to be crowd surfing.
In some cases these people dived over our heads onto the pile of bodies. Upton created a cordon around the scene and with a line of security people extending to the pit they were able to pass people back to St. John Ambulance staff. These two were both laying face down in about four inches of mud and they were almost covered over. At first I did not realise that. The pressure load on these two victims was such that we had to dig under them with our bare hands to turn them over.
We managed to extract both of them from the mud but they appeared to us to be lifeless. Suddenly the band started to play again and the crowd conditions made it impossible for us to examine them in any detail. Siggers was only identified later by his tattoos. Senior police officers immediately wanted to halt the concert, but after discussions it was decided that no purpose would be served by stopping the festival. We were spared the details of the terrible event until after the show had finished.
Any moment of triumph was short-lived. It was sad and horrible, and even though Megadeth was not directly involved, it took a toll on all of us. Mustaine, arms outstretched, centre stage, heralded the arrival of Megadeth to the Donington stage. The guests turned out to be Lars Ulrich — not a man renowned for his vocal prowess — and Axl Rose.
Few bands could follow such performance, but by a clever piece of planning after MegaDave came King Dave, David Lee Roth, the only person who could follow Armageddon and still pull a bigger crowd. One further incident came during his set. The area in front of the stage was still rammed, and after three songs Roth asked the crowd to move back a little.
He went into the crowd and located her, and then carried her back to the pit. I can only assume he was in a state of shock from the earlier incident because he climbed onto the stage and pleaded with David Le [sic] Roth to halt the show… The singer, not realising the fact that he was a member of the pit team, assumed he was about to be attacked and called two of his personal bodyguards onto the stage.
They promptly grabbed hold of our man and literally threw him off the stage into the pit… It is possible that this incident is the one that the press later mistakenly reported as being the point where Le [sic] Roth refused to stop the show. But KISS in were a far cry from, say, ten years previously.
This was pretty much as good as it gets and, amongst everything else that happened that day, people tend. The stage exploded with light as Iron Maiden tore full-throttle into the song proper, revealing Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Nicko McBrain dwarfed by an assortment of icebergs bathed in harsh white light. The stage lights dimmed, the fireworks burst overhead and people fanned out of the arena once more, largely unaware of the tragedy that had blighted the day.
Once the investigation had been completed, an inquest took place in February Slightly ahead of local upstarts Exodus and fellow L. Collectively, the Bay Area bands opened doors for the likes of Death Angel, Legacy [later becoming Testament], Blind Illusion and death metal visionaries, Possessed; as well as countless more local artists.
Spawning and nurturing [by default] a blueprint for the arrival of death metal, thrash quickly became the very lifeblood of the underground metal scene, striking fear into the hearts of the sequenced, bubblegum, spandex-wearing poodles, who pranced up and down the Sunset Strip in their neighbouring city of Los Angeles. One such band was Heathen. Considered part. Moving to Roadrunner Records for their The success of the album was evident across multiple highly respected media platforms, giving way for the band to tour outside their homeland once again to far-reaching audiences in Japan and extensively throughout Europe, winning over fans; one show at a time.
Following this, Heathen went on an about two thirds of the record demoed with vocals indefinite hiatus. He and Testament vocalist Chuck Billie; who had been recently diagnosed with Germ Cell Seminoma, a form [Kragen] had a clear vision of what he wanted to do. Once again, momentum was paused as tragedy struck after bassist Randy Laire was killed in a car crash in September The concepts of those two albums are intertwined in more ways than one.
Little did we know what would be happening in the world in Fellow peers Death Angel, Exodus, Testament and most recently Vio-Lence [due for release via Metal Blade Records in ] have been busy writing and releasing exceptional material over the last two decades, proving that regardless of age, the definitive essence of the genre is in rude health.
Keeping within the lyrical subject matter of the genre, the album tackles the injustices and atrocities that are happening all around us, from political and religious, to environmental and social pop-culture. Pioneers, survivors, veterans and modest champions of a vastly important period in the glorious history of underground heavy music. I felt one of these days when I make it to the stage I will not be in jeans and a T-shirt!
I wanted this album to not be quite so easy to listen to as the last record. It has more guitars and melodies that intertwine and you really need to listen to it a few times to hear all the layers. Now free of booze and drugs for four years, suddenly things really are brighter for the highly engaging father of four. Now I love communicating with fans on social media. Did you have an idea of how you wanted the album to run in your head before starting to write it or did the songs come about in a natural fashion that you then shaped into a sonic narrative?
Yes, the track order and the sequencing is always really important to my work and the process as a whole. So I kinda knew what I wanted in that sense, give or take. It just comes natural at this point. So that was very self gratifying indeed. An album is basically minutes of information to communicate and I just wanna make myself clear through the ebb and flow of the songs.
The overall pace should be smooth and pleasant while the music should be dark and disturbing. And I have found peace and happiness in that approach. I see myself as an underground artist. Honesty and realistic goals is the key for me. I least expect it. Almost exclusively the epiphanies appear in the midst of my mundane everyday shitlife.
To be honest I have never really thought about it too much but eight months out of the year in total darkness, grey skies, cold and misery really stokes up the creative spark. I actually prefer it over summer. I hate the Swedish summertime with a passion. Could you explain the meaning behind the title and also how that stunning artwork ties into it? Like every band on let things grow a bit and waited til I was more than Mausoleum Records! I even waited longer than I had to of my album!
First I thought of the title as more you, so to speak. It was a pleasant experience to the same artist. Of course, I set up some boundaries but on me in a much less comedic direction. I found a I must add that me and Simon did very serious within those walls I feel I can move around freely music video with the german band Bad Steve where demoing of the songs months in advance which and relaxed.
It certainly helped me and Daniel video or whatever. To put it simple: The both of us hate to rehearse! But the core of the about me and my thoughts, experiences, sights and members in Bad Steve obviously must have thought songs were written here in my apartment, on my sounds. With that said, any lack of identity would be a that what they did was just as valid as their idols couch, watching movies or playing bass and guitar complete failure to me.
I guess identity its all there is. It might not be but they along with Black Sabbath or Judas Priest records. And at my work probably makes it yell. It is supposed to set the hours. He is such a talented and a most 10 songs that inspired the making I think my attitude comes from that and the likeable human.
Melvins — Boris 1. Drunks With Guns Those bands always pushed their sound and that is always a reference point. So do the title Bloodbath 2. Chicagojazzen brought in different elements to their magic. Of course they 2. Frank Ocean - Self Control 3.
Every band or artist is obviously 4.
